I'm very pleased to be able to report that, since the day after my 4th injection of Enbrel, I've been feeling noticeably less pain! (Touch wood! Don't want to "jinx" myself! ) Even the stiffness has lessened a bit, tho our cold weather isn't helping.....(almost winter "Down Under" - UGH!)
I'm now half-way thru week 5 and still improving - my hips, hands and feet are feeling the most benefit so far......I actually managed to sit in a restaurant for almost 2 hours last w/end and was able to stand up and walk out afterwards with barely a twinge! (The 1st time in I can't remember how long!)

I'm actually able to get out of bed in the mornings now not feeling like an octagenarian!! It's wonderful! Truth to tell, I'm treating it as an extremely welcome respite, after reading and hearing about everyone else's experiences with anti TNF's! I'm afraid of getting used to feeling good in case it all comes crashing down around my ears!
It is soooo great at the moment tho

I haven't needed any Endone (instant-release morphine) for over a week (prior to last week I'd been taking it 4-hourly for several years!), and am now thinking of cutting down on my Oxycontin (3 x 40mgs daily). I'm also hoping to reduce my weekly 2 x 10mgs MTX as it's making me feel really "bombed" the next day. Of course, I shall do it gradually....I'm not intending to stop taking everything at once! (Don't want to "crash and burn" - again!)

Fingers crossed, no nasty side-effects to date. Even the initial insomnia seems to have worn off - thankfully. I'm feeling less fatigued all the time too. If I could cut right down on the Oxycontin I might even be able to watch a movie without falling asleep!!

Thanks to everyone for all your patience and support. I'll keep you posted.

Hugs,
Sue

Thanks Janet
No - not eating more so far (touch wood!).....I'm still trying to lose a bit more weight so I hope I don't get any of those "carb cravings"!

YAY!! 9 months! That's great
Let's just hope and pray it keeps on working! I'm not pain-free yet, but definitely soooo much better than I've felt in months/years! Just wish the stiffness would wear off a bit too.....Early days yet I guess

Hugs,
Sue
