If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Just wanted to know if there was anyone out there who has AS and still does woodworking? I have severe AS and it seems every time I try to do something my arms or legs swell up from the inflamation. I am on Humira and MTX and this seems to help. I was wondering if there was any hope for the future for restarting my hobbies. This year I have been pretty much flat on my back. I do woodcarving, oil paintings, and pencil Portraitures.

Tim i think the trick is not to expect the same time frame for completed projects. What use to take me hours takes days but dose not stop me from doing. Bradford

I used to be into woodworking but have been w/o a place to set up shop since 1988. I have four grandkids who break their stuff all the time so I have set up a small shop for toy repair and small projects. It's fun and not too much on these old bones. Building a doll house for my 3 year old granddaughter is my next project. Everything I do now is smaller and slower...but more fun then ever.
Don't think it's over, just think smaller

My father used to build large wooden model sailing ships.... gave that up for rose gardens 10 years ago.

There now, think on it, and up pops an answer! Weelll. My wonderful doctor is retiring in March (boo-hoo). He carves and turns wood - very clever. Also, very much into photography - whizz photos. Now. I would love to give him a super retiring pressie (well, as 'super' as I can do...!) Thought, a lovely piece of wood for him to carve. IF you had a 'wish' for a real nice piece and nice sized piece of wood, what would you wish for? Put in a Google for wood carving, wood turning, got tools but no wood. Tried, wood for carving, wood for turning, wood for hobbies - flip. Nowt. HELP. How do I find, and *what* would be a really nice and best piece to get him and how big - don't think he is into Hepworth statues... Just carving. Thanks guys. Oh, and I would like to set this up before middle Jan, as am going to be away and just 'might' miss his retirement 'day'. Molly AS'ers do *everything*

Hay Tim! I think that what ever YOU feel up to is OK. Dont let a little AS keep you from what You love. Yes, I am a woodcarver, but unfortunatly I havnt done much for the last few years. The biggest reason is that I moved and no longer have a shop that is functional. Perhaps some day in the near future. Yes Cristina Here I iz!! Howdy

Hey Gary! Do you happen to have a picture of the cradle around? That was one of my favorite things you did.
