We have made it possible for the BC Knowledge Network to carry the Teeshoe Film tomorrow evening from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Anyone who lives in an area in BC where the Knowledge Network is shown, will be able to see the Teeshow Film tommorow evening at the hours shown above.

For example, where Tom lives in Kamloops, the film should start at 10:00 pm just as it will on the coast.

I don't know whether the Knowledge Network extends into Alberta or if it does, at what time it will be shown.

If this works across the continent, it would certainly be better than our present system of sending a DVD from house to house which has taken over 2 years so far to let 17 people see the film.

So right now, anyone in BC would be able to see the film if they were hooked up to the Knowledge Network.

Hi George: Thank you for the heads-up. I look forward to seeing one of your contributions to BC history albeit sad. It is, and could be, another chapter, in "the Raincoast Chronicles"! I hope you are feeling well and strong. A warm hug to you and your wife Dorrit and family...Tom

The unique thing about this documentary film is that, other than the Director using a Narrator to change scenes, all the words spoken by the "grown-up children of the men who perished in the accident", were words they still had in their hearts 50 years later.

What Fred went through as being the only survivor of the Teeshoe, still troubles Fred greatly. Fred, only 12 years old, shared a small raft with one of the men but a few hours later, the man slipped slowly beneath the water and Fred couldn't help save him as he was so cold and exhausted. This has troubled Fred for many years.

As our Dad and Mr. Crooks drifted further away from him, Fred realized that he was now all alone. How he stayed alive in this frigid water is hard to believe.

George,

I had checked out the Teeshoe online. I wish I could get that channel to watch the documentary. Such a heartbreaking story. My heart goes out to you, Fred and the family members of those lost that tragic night.

Many hugs dear friend.

Pam, this is a film well worth the effort to watch. I had written the director with payment as suggested by Old George last year and recieved my own copy complete with a handwritten note, how impressive was that that?

Which led to a open dialogue with my dear friend to help me understand the background, setting and outcome of the survivor, Fred and offspring of the the deceased men of the TeeShoe. A tragic event which is dipliced by real people who stood fast to only bringing you the facts as verifiable by witness or paper trail.

My hope is that the making of this documentary has and will continue to help the survivors and Fred heal after more than 50 years has past.

And of course the eye candy of seeing our dearest George on the screen is an added bonus.

There are a few copies that have been rotated to interested parties within the US and you may be able to sign up for a personal viewing. I'm sure George will be getting back to you on this, once his sluggness decides to get up (jking).

Best always

George, this is exciting! Brian has the full digital package, so I'm going to call and find out if this network is findable on it!

To all GTAers out there, I do have a copy of Teeshoe and would be more than happy to host a few folk to watch it.

Many hugs,

Kat

Thanks Pam,

I found out that the only way to get it in the US is to be hooked up to a Sattelite link and know the code to the Canadian Knowledge Channel.

Thanks for the kind words.
