Aye... No underlying hatred, I'm afraid. Just a lot of energy to burn off. The 'ref' who told us the rules and explained the game even said, "There is a rule about innappropriate language, but I have a feeling this group is all about giving each other a hard time, so we won't bother.."
We even had a hard time seperating into teams because nobody could decide who they wanted to shoot more! (My boyfriend and I including, giving that we had had a big fight that morning!)
Overall though, we're all very good friends and it was all out of good humour.
Like I told them though, it's discouraging to think how quickly I would die at war! (I guess we can thank me being a girl with a disease.. The army won't take me, let alone put me in the front lines...)

Thanks everyone for the input. Honestly, I'm going to take this trip, AS or not. I will have to find a lightweight foam pad or something and work up my endurance (we go hiking on the Mississippi River a few times a week). I won't let anything get in the way of me enjoying nature!

In my opinion, yes there can be. Before AS I was a VERY active person, I used to run, race sailboats, hiking and kick boxing. Then AS happened and it pretty much came to a screeching halt, until Enbrel. Now I am slowing getting back into running and sailing, kickboxing will have to wait awhile yet. And if I dont do this stuff I just get so unhappy, its almost like a stress reliever for me. I just figure that I might as well live for today cause you never know whats around the corner.

Hi Chelsie,

I used to camp a lot pre-AS... not so much any more. Headed out to Devils Lake State Park, Vilas County and Wyolusing State Park(Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers meet) quite a bit. Loved canoeing/kayaking and building camp fires.

But hard ground did me in often... found that inflatable mattress helped out quite a bit if generator on trip to help blow up (Aerobed). Other inflatable mattresses not quite as good.

I imagine today I could do a bit more camping if wanted. Hips doing better.

Hope you are able to enjoy!

Tim

AS may win some battles, but I will win the war.
