If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hey Littlesis-thanks for the info. I saw my rheumy few days ago and he has put me on 150mg 3x a day. Since increasing the dosage, I started doing the same thing you did. It felt like my equalibrium was off. I was walking down the aisle of Walmart with my mom and she grabbed my arm and asked me what I was doing. It was like I couldn't walk a straight line. I wasn't high or acting like I was drunk, stumbling and all, I just couldn't walk right. Kept going off to the side bumping into the clothes racks, lol. My mom is soooo against drugs. She has back pain from a fracture and has PAD in both legs, severe blockages and it hurts for her to walk. Doctor tried to give her a script for pain and she absolutely refuses. Says Advil is just fine. I tried to talk to her about the new trials that have come out against taking more Advil and Aleve than what is on the bottle. But doc told her she could take 4 Advil every 4 hours. She won't listen to me and thinks I should stop taking the Lyrica. I quietly explained to her, just like you, it helps with the arthritic pain in my ankles and feet. It was so bad, b4 taking Lyrica, I had to use a walker inside/outside to walk bcz of severe pain in feet. It's worth the tradeoff of walking like a drunk, lol. At least I can walk with only a cane now. Anyway, again, thanks for the info. donna

That's awesome news!!! I think the trade off is definitely worth it, although my mom hates to leave me alone for a second. lol You know, my mom used to be the same way about drugs...not that she thought it wasn't good for me, but she was ok with advil and the such until her rheumatoid arthritis got so bad to the point she had to have surgeries on her feet. Her rheumy, which is the same as mine gave her a script for a light pain killer and she uses it, but sparingly. She has to be really bad to take one and sometimes I do have to encourage her. My dad right now is going through the same thing. He was given a script about a month ago and hasn't taken any yet. I bet he will when he gets as bad as my mom and I. My mom is also on metho which she has been taking for awhile. It works good for her, but because metho killed my liver, I worry about her. I don't think she could handle the lyrica...feeling the way we do. But when you get to the point that you're actually stuck in a wheelchair for a few years, feeling the way we do with the drug is nothing as long as we can walk. I'm sure that abnormal gait side effect will go in time. I hope so or people are going to think I turned to alcohol for my pain. LOL OK I've rambled on enough...just wanted to let you know that I am glad you didn't give up on the lyrica and things are good.
Hugs, Lisa

Hello ! I was interested that there's someone else here who was given Lyrica. My M.D. gave it to me and it really seems to gork me out, I feel really spacey. It does nothing for the (what I call) the "bone cancer type of feeling pain" in my SI joint, L5 and hips, but it does seem to help the bizarre syndrome I have around my ribs of not being able to tollerate anything touching them, and not being able to either wear a bra or stand my breasts hanging down with their weight and the pull on the tissues. It's just REALLY a drag up there. Oh I can hardly stand it sometimes. ANY HOO, the Lyrica is helping with the breast issues, which are very emotionally frustrating. So I am wondering if the breast issues may me more of a fibromyalgia thing, and the SI and Lumbar & Hip pain more of an AS thing. Can a person have both ????? Anyway, does the Lyrica make you feel spacey ?? Or is it just me ?? Thanks for listening. And I hope you remain pain (and frustration) free. Rio

I came here looking for a thread on Lyrica. I have been switched to Lyrica by my doctor and I am on 75 mg per day. My doctor gives me the sample boxes to use. I have made the switch from Neurontin to Lyrica.
The difference is that the Lyrica is more specific for neuropathic pain, and over here Neurontin was not approved for neuropathic pain.
I have been on the Lyrica for 2 weeks. I think it is too early to give a call on whether it is having an effect. I take it at night because on the first day I took it in the morning and I was just so tired....

As of now I remain a Lyrica fan. Without it I cannot tolerate anything around my ribs and I think it is more a fibromyalgia type pain. I have had to up the dose but the dosage and the relief seem steady now, to which I am very grateful !! If anyone has this type of pain I would highly recommend at least giving it a try. You can also get on a Lyrica assistance program from the web. Sincerely, Rio

I have been doing very well on the Lyrica. If I forget the night time dose I feel it. However, I have experienced a lot of improvement and so I hope that I will be able to stay on this drug for a lot longer.
To date I have not had any reactions. My head pains have been due to problems in my neck. Ditto the ear pain.
