I wasn't going to post and almost deleted before I did but can't get much done today, not focusing, so I thought maybe I'd bounce this out into a world of good ASKickers.

Feeling kind of useless today. Can't do much to help her the way I want. YOu know, somehow make it all better by fighting it for her.

You have een on my mind lately becaus eI fear I am heading over to the Dark Side and may have to become a staunch NSD type person. Still weaning myself off of some of my favorite poisons and in times of stress food is a good vice so may be it bit early but I think their is an apple fast in my near future and maybe a PM to you for some guidance.

I haven’t been here long, but I was able to establish very quickly that you have a keen sense and wit to boot. I’m sure that the Lovely Diane is a very special lady too.
It’s tough enough to go through our own pain, but I think it is almost more difficult when those we love are not in top form. The uncertainty of her condition must add to the feelings of helplessness.
Please know that you both are in my prayers.
You seem like a “Princess Bride” kind of guy. Remember the words of Buttercup...You can't hurt me. Westley and I are joined by the bonds of love. And you cannot track that, not with a thousand bloodhounds, and you cannot break it, not with a thousand swords.

I suspct if my little ones could read that you were sending prayers their way and their mommy's way they would donate theirs to their Mom. Yesterday Toni asked Diane after a pretest Doc visit if the boo-bbo Dr. had made her breathing better. Genuine concern but no fear. Kids are so much smarter than we are or at least kids are so much smarter than I am.

I expect, however, that is no great tribute to kids ( being called smarter than me) since the list of things wiser than me is likely to include caterpillars, small household appliance such as coffee pots, various fungi and perhaps even a potato or two.

THat's what I keep hoping for something simple. I'm not good at complexities. Of course, I know answers in the medical field don't come quickly and I believe there is a cosmic inverse proportionalitu too how slowly you get an answer related to how badly you need an answer.

That Diane is finally frightened enough to get in for testing is the huge positive thing to keep repeating in your mind through the wait. Heart stuff that is not known or cared for is so scary. Known troubles being addressed and cared for are less scary and can be managed - and will! It really isn't like AS where denial can be your pal, so fight that instinct for all of you.

My brother had the sneak attack yet today is 100% fine! Even has his pilot's license back, (clean bill of health for ? # of consequetive yrs). Cardiac care is huge and docs can do brilliant things so take some comfort from that, and walk through this together until you know she is safe.
