Hi all, This will be the first thread I've started  Actually, more like an informal poll, so if I've put this in the wrong place, please forgive me list admins and help me reformat this into poll-mode  Just curious actually, and since I'm fairly new here, and a search did not reveal this had been asked yet.... Since many with AS share the HLA B27+ antigen, I'm wondering if this shows up more frequently in certain Blood Types. Maybe some of the Docs would know, but out of interest, thought I'd ask and share that... I am HLA B27+ and my blood type is A- So, perhaps those that have the antigen could say what their types are, and those without the antigen could share what their types are.

HLA-B27 +ve and A -ve. I'm one of the soon to be doctors, and I'm not aware which (if any) blood types HLA-B27 is most frequently associated with. Great first thread!!!  Jeanna

I am O-negative, I'm pretty sure...lol

Oh, and yes, I am HLA-B27 positive also.
