I have looked into L-Glutamine in the past for repairing GI tract. Would say only have had marginal success... need quality product, but they can get expensive.

Cheaper source is juicing green cabbage (not on its own... causes too much GI stress.. .combine carrots or dilute with lots of water and slowly build up amount of cabbage). But this is time consuming.

That is my experience.

Hi Tone,

I have been taking Glutamine for a short time now as I lost a lot of weight and decided to put it back on as muscle, so have been using creatine and glutamine and working out 5 days a week.

I haven't noticed any difference yet, although i'm more "regular" than usual if you know what I mean, though I think this is more down to the NSD.

I will keep you posted as I intend stopping taking the Nexium for my ulcers soon as I haven't taken NSAIDs in 3 months.

We'll see

Steve

According to Duke phytochem DB Aloe Vera has quite a bit of Glutamine in it. Not sure how it compares to cabbage as all the data is in parts per million : http://www.ars-grin.gov/duke/

* Glutamic Acid <==> Glutamine
.. need more MSG in your diet ?? :-) .. "Its monosodium glutamate form is used in treating degenerative brain diseases associated with diseases of the liver."
