Hey George,
You could always tell your wife you are conducting and monitoring a research project on the effects the short term and long term sex has on pain and AS. While the short term could last only a few months, it could take years to come to a conclusion on the long term effects. You may want to duck down when you are telling her about your research project though as there is no telling what kind of response she may have.

Brent, I hear what your saying, the only problem is that I only have a short window, with regards to reasearch (just passed). Need I say any more? Better not tell Kirstie (who's getting some zzzz'ss), at the moment, as she would kill me. Not joking! I'm totally 100% proud of her though, as she's stuck by me through thick & thin. I'm also not proud to say she's the main bread winner in my house hold now. Fantastic primary teacher. Brill with kids & me (most of the time). It's 12.45 a.m. now UK time & I'm going to hit the sack, well I've had a few beers (largers), just for a change, honestly. Take care & give Sandy an extra buscuit on me. George. Jasper

Hi George Sure I think that sex relieves AS pain (during and after for me) Also makes it possible to get a better sleep afterwards. One more thing that is positive about it is that the only area of my spine (asside from my neck that is) that still isn't completely fuzed tight is my lower back (lowest 3 vertabraes). Proof positive that exercise will help keep you limber...  Good thread George Ray
