A week and a half ago I was rear ended in rush hour traffic. My doc said to watch out because any injury from it could take a week or so to show up. It has with a vengeance. A few days ago I had severe pain in my neck that has built up to excruciating headaches.
The woman who hit me was crazy, drunk or suffering from road rage (perhaps all 3) as she managed to hit me 3 times. We were stopped in rush hour traffic so there was absolutely no excuse for it. I could possibly understand once, maybe even twice, but three times?! We were on a bridge so I couldn't pull over right away and apparently she wasn't willing to wait until we got to the other side. She took off. Yes I got her license plate and car make. I could even give the police a decent description. It makes me angry. I was just starting to get my life together and my pain was under control...........now I feel like I am starting all over.
My vision is blurred. I'm having trouble concentrating and my lower back is stiffer than it has ever been. My range of motion sucks now. Just about every way I move hurts. I'm back to taking my pain meds regularly because the headaches and shoulder aches and neck ache is so bad. I went to my chiropractor and she couldn't get my back to move so she massaged my back for awhile. I go back tomorrow to find out about the x-rays she took of my neck today. She is going to compare them to the ones she took a year and a half ago. Hopefully, there won't be anything degenerative there and I will just have to get over all of these excruciating muscle spasms. Fortunately, I have an appointment with my rheumy on Wed....one of my usual follow ups. I need more pain meds if I am going to get through this.
Darnit!!!!! I'm angry. I am hoping the state patrol tracks this woman down or at least my insurance company does. She needs to pay one way or another. Oh yeah the accident was so low impact she didn't do any damage to my Honda CRV but she has a low front end on her car so I hope she has some good dents on her hood now. Time to try to get some sleep now.
As always, thank you all for listening.
