So many movies - how can I choose!!

I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet (or maybe I just missed it)

THE GODFATHER!!

and any other movie that has mobsters and/or cops with shotguns.

But, I do have a gentler side...
I'm a sucker for musicals like Singing in the Rain, The Sound of Music, and My Fair Lady. Also, classics like It Happened one Night and My Man Godfrey

My daughter's favorite movie is Sesame sings Karaoke but she's only one. I'm sure her tastes will improve!

Well, I'd have to say The Shining with Jack Nicholson. Love the music in the ballroom scenes.
- Bliss (Aussie film)-http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088821/. Great ending but a bit of a strange movie.
- Eraserhead because it was the first time I walked out of a film not knowing what happened : ) Usually I have an inkling after seeing a movie...
- Heaven Can Wait was a blast.
- Any Colombo movies, I love the way he gets under the skin of his prey.
- The Sixth Sense totally surprised me at the end.
- Usual Suspects did the same thing.
- Who can't not like Benji?
- Shrek!
- And, of course, Lord of the Rings.

Cheers,

Timo

I like the one where the box of popcorn dances with the soda pop and then they go on this space age monorail and they tell you to be quiet during the feature presentation.

Pete,

I thought your favorite movie is Dr Zhivago?

Tim,

You are right about Shawshank Redemption, it's a great movie, bought the dvd and lend it to my friend and he has same opinion like you.

My favorite movie has a very long list but here's some movie that I saw recently:

- LOTR - all of them
- Last Samurai - not only Tom Cruise play very well on that movie but also for the Samurai value which might hardly seen in this current times.

I also saw Taking Lives (Angelina Jollie) which is quite good cause make me scream and jump from my chair two times and make everybody on the theatre laugh at me on my first scream

The Life of Brian - nearer the mark than The Passion and showing that religion can at least be good for a giggle.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . Friend hast thou none;
For thine own bowels which do call thee sire,
The mere effusion of thy proper loins,
Do curse the gout, serpigo, and the rheum
For ending thee no sooner. (M for M)

'Then you should say what you mean,' the March Hare went on. 'I do,' Alice hastily replied; 'at least - at least I mean what I say - that's the same thing , you know.' 'Not the same thing a bit!' said the Hatter.

All the "Airplane" movies.

The Big Chill.

And the one that always makes me laugh, no matter how many times I see it, "Blazing Saddles."

For love stories, nothing can beat Casablanca!

And for musicals, I love Chicago.

Hmmmmm. I just watched one that knocked the wind out of me. It did the one thing no other movie has ever done before, invoked a grief responce from me....
Go see, "Grave of the Fireflies". its an animation, but dubed.

I couldn't let this subject pass by, but I tried.

My favorites:
So I Married An Axe Murderer - everyone has to love Mike Myers as Stuart Mackenzie "move that melon of yours and fetch the paper if ya can."

Pricess Bride - "He's only mostly dead, which means he's still partly alive."

Monte Python and The Holy Grail - "Bring out your dead, Iam not dead yet, Iam feeling much better"

I guess that shows that I am a software engineer.
