If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I did it....I became McGyver and assembled the components of my Enbrel shot, while my doctor watched....and I gave myself a shot in the thigh...
Wow, was I nervous...didn't eat, had to wait, finally got in the doc's office and she would not give me the shot as it just came out of the fridge and she said that it must be room temp....so another hour down...then she walked me through it and I did it....and I sat there, having put it all together, and looked at the shot....and I thought "I hold the power....the power in my hands...to biologically modify myself..." and I thought of the movie "Altered States" with William Hurt...and then my doc, she is saying, "ok, stick it in, go ahead...come on...just do it" and I COULD NOT DO IT for like ten seconds....and then I plunged that sucker into my thigh, and you know what? It didn't hurt, it was so easy, the shot is the easiest part by far!! I had heard this from all you good people on Enbrel, and now I know...so, now my second shot will be on Saturday, and I will post updates in the Pharmacy section at KA....
Woo-hoo, yee-haw, Boo-Ya, time to rock...
Peace Linc

Yep, and iut hurts a lot less than AS pain.
I was so tired of being in AS pain that I gladly learned to like shots.
Enbrel rocks!

Congrats on the first shot... may all the shots be as simple and may it erase away the memory of AS.

Congrats on starting Enbrel!! I love the stuff! They made you wait till it was at room temperature? I take mine out of the fridge and shoot it right up, no wait, and they never said anything about waiting. They told me it should stay cold always. I hope you get the results I have gotten with it!! I remember learning how to give my dog Sugar her allergy shots, there was something definitely lacking in my technique, I'd bunch up the skin near her neck, insert the needle, and then pull the needle back out, took about three tries - - and poor Sugar would be looking over her shoulder in horror as I went in for one more jab I finally mastered it, though. I wonder if it would be easier to give myself a shot than to torture a poor defenseless animal with repeated jabs.
