thanks for the chuckle. I know boredom isn't really a funny thing, but you really put it down in words well. I guess I have to agree with Cheryl though..the life of a dog is a pretty good one, when you have good owners that is.
I would love to come back as one of my pets.
Ok, are you sure you want me to answer your question? LOL
My days consist of spending alot of time with my animals. They keep me busy. Either I am teaching Bogart some new tricks, Flyer some manners, the new bird how NOT to bite and adding to her vocabulary, the old bird how not to sound like a broken record when she does the Andy Griffith song.
Grooming and doing all the animals personal care and spending alot of time just playing with them.
When I am not doing things with the animals I am on the PC trying to keep up with my online class, which really confuses me sometimes, and if I know I can't study before bed I usually make time during the day. I check this place out and post if I have something good to post about or reply if I think I can help with the topic and answer my PM's and all my emails. When on the PC, I also do research for the book, or work on editing stories for it.
My mom, dad, kids and sometimes a friend or two calls, so I spend some time talking to them. My daughter and I usually spend the most time on the phone, because we discuss our pets and I often help her over the phone her with her school projects (she is going to college to be a vet) if she can't come over here.
When I am not doing any of those things, I am doing my crocheting, making blankets for new baby arrivals or gifts for others.
I work somedays on my birdhouses...painting and decorating them with dry and silk flowers and trying to match up the decor of the person's room who wants one.
Can't forget the housework, although I do get some help with the major things, but I like to do as much of it that I can, and on my good days I try to do even more.
Also, since our house was recently modified I have been trying to redocorate the rooms and it's been fun matching everything and putting special Lisa touches on everything.
I am sure I am missing alot of things, but as you can see...I HATE boredom and literally go crazy if I have nothing to do, so I found and continue finding things to fill my days so that doesn't happen. Of course since I am in a wheelchair now my physical activities are limited, but I found that there are lot's of things to do to at least keep my mind and hands busy. I've learned that keeping myself busy helps keep my mind off the pain too, although usually I have to take a break from whatever I am doing to use an ice pack or take a bath. Anything that helps. Sometimes people, especially my dad will say..."you have to rest and relax, you've been doing too much (even when we're fishing... how much more relaxed can you get?) But people don't realize that somedays resting and relaxing actually hurts us more.
Every day is a challenge...keeping myself busy and/or finding new ways to do so. With the animals I usually have something to do, but when I feel I am starting to get a little too much time on my hands I get busy trying to find things to keep me busy. Every day I look forward to doing the things that I have started or need to start, like tomorrow... I am getting years worth of pictures out and sorting through them and putting them in albums. That will take a big chunk out of my day and I'll start after I'm done my routine with the animals. They usually find a way to take up alot more of my time, either in between my different activities or even while I am in the middle of doing whatever, but that's ok.

Nothing is ever more important than them. When I am in a flare and in alot of pain to the point I can't do hardly anything, they are right there to keep me company.
Ok, you asked and I told LOL
Hugs, to ya,
Lisa
