If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Good to find no damage Loz. I'd be interested to know just what you ate to last more than six hours... I'd suppose that apple juice could only be a problem, if there already was a problem I'm also drinking apple juice in quantity (but not bulk) and luckily there is an unsweetened one here containing 20% lytchee juice so i think i have the perfect gut soother. Good new - Great to hear that everything is Ok - no ulcers. Reading your post though blew me away. I didn't know there was even a choice of being sedated or not. When I had my endoscopy done it was general anesthetic - no choice. Maybe I could have saved some money on the anethitist! Mine was all Ok as well (that was a year ago now). Oh Wow - if 'lytchee' the same as lychee(?) I'm getting on the search engines double-quick! That sounds like heaven in a glass. What's the brand name? In reply to:

You mean apart from the anti-diarrhoea pills? Yeah, seriously my system was a mess, I'd been out of the country for a while which always messes with my system for some reason, and had only returned that morning. With 6½ hours to go I hit the motorway service area for a huge greasey fry-up breakfast that had to last me six houras after a sleepless night in the air (being tired always makes me hungry for some reason). The doc argued that the anti-diarrhoea pills wouldn't have caused it (although frankly I think he was wrong). He decided, because the gullet was healthy, that my symptoms were probably due to slow gastric emptying, and put me on a drug called Motilium to combat that. Being as I'd had no symptoms since giving up the juice anyway, I only took the few he gave me and didn't ask my GP to repeat the prescription. I did, however, keep a week's worth to take in the run up to the repeat procedure, just to be on the safe side
To be picky about it, because I have no symptoms without the apple juice, I'd suggest that the apple juice causes a problem because I'm close to the edge, rather than there being an actual problem already in existence, as is supported by the evidence.

Oh Wow - if 'lytchee' the same as lychee(?) I'm getting on the search engines double-quick! That sounds like heaven in a glass. What's the brand name? That was my thought when i read the label and it said no sugar no preservative! As "Jus de Litchi" it is packaged in French and comes from South Africa - we are closish geographically... Brand is Dewlands, has 85% grape (jus de raisin), 15% lychee/litchee/lytchi plus Vit C added which surprised me - quantity stated in terms of daily recommendations. High in potassium, but all sugar is from the fruits. Sorry, NO apple juice in this one - i was wrong there. It is delicious AND it took away my stiff neck - can it really do that? Very sexy web site they have - lots of flash. If you ever get to open one, i challenge you to do it right first up - unless this is a common cap in your world. I won't go into your gastric manipulations there, just hope you made good use of the clean out. Hey if apple juice affects you that way, i cannot imagine you swallowing Apple Cider Vinegar then... Which reminds me, isn't this juice a little too GI sugary for you Loz? I did see an apple mix Ted NSAIDs = biochemical warfare where our tactical decisions are hostile to our strategic interests.

Yes, it is very sugary, but I can effectively balance my sugar intake with my insulin, just takes practice and care. I try to avoid grape juice, being a) even higher sugar than apple juice and b) rather too candida-friendly. If you like lychee and grape juice and you're a wine drinker, you have to try a Gewurztraminer. A good one from the Alsace reigion of France will have a lychee aroma. It's an off-dry white wine, fantastic with the foods of the Orient. I think they make them in NZ too, and Sth Africa. Didn't have a clean-out as such, this was just a gastroscopy, so only a 6 hour fast was necessary. I dislike pretty well all vinegar, although balsamic is tollerable, so yes apple cider vinegar is out. Can't seem to open that site, I'm pretty sure my Flash plugin is fully up to date. Ah well. Thanks for the reply, Loz
