Hi there, I will give a brief introduction of myself...

My name is Mario Camou, Im from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Married with a three year old son.

Well it al started when I was about fifteen years old, sciatic pain on&off right side and left side, then it was stiffness on my back early in the morning, well over the months it started getting worse and worse, my neck started getting stiffer by the day, met alot of doctors that came to the conclusion that I had stress.

Well one day when I was 21 years old I tarted getting terrible back spasms, stayed in bed for two weeks, met a new doctor whom diagnosed AS, made the blood tests, XR, evrything.

Today now Im 25 years old, found this great website to learn more about AS, Ive been on Vioxx(worked great for me) for a year now and will try not to take it again, tried the apples fast las couple of days, started the NSD today.

About how long would it take for the NSD to start taking effect.

Righ now alot of my back spine is fusedm, my neck also, my hips are totally ruined, havent jumped in about 5 years now because of the pain, I forgot how to run, last time I did it was about 3 years ago, haven tried it again because Im afraid of hurting something.

Well I started playing golf about a year ago, my swing is at about 60% capacity but work great for stretching and exercising my back, while playing golf I do walk alot and it also helps me, I think golf is helping me on the fight aainst back bone fusion.. Anyone tried golf before?

Well too much complaining because of the AS. Im thankful to GOD because I can work hard enough to raise my family, gave me a beutiful wife and son that support me every step of the way.

I tough I was gonna make this brief so people could read it.

THX in advance.

Wish me luck on my NSD...

Hiya,

Welcome aboard! So you had the old stress routine eh?

I'm sorry in a way it was n't stress, i have some good remedies for that... :) and the medicine tastes quiet good!

Keep up the apples, important you try things like that now slow if not halt the prcesses.

I've read some studies on Mexican famailae HLA B27, and was suprised there were n't more guys on the boards. Cananda is quickly taking over at the moment, have no idea why those guys have so much of it, almost a s common as snow!

Hears wishing you all the best

David

Hi and welcome to kickAS.

I play golf myself. I personally found it a great help as it gave me moderate exercise without straining myself. Started off slow ( 9 holes, as walking 18 was too much ) and had a pretty stiff swing to start with but gradually after ten years or so I actually play a decent game now.... handicap of 15.....walking 18 now no problem and I think my swing looks normal. Ok, you can all stop laughing now, I did say "I think"

I cut gluten out of my diet and has made the world of difference to me, so GOOD LUCK with the NSD. Hope it works for you.

Stick around.
