Hubby went on sulfasalazine and it was great in controlling inflammation and reducing pain however he developed dermatitis so was taken off again

He delayed taking it for 18 months as we were trying to conceive and was given penacillamine (which did nothing at all to help). I think his disease progressed quite a bit in that timescale. If you feel you need a DMARD and your specialists do to combat the disease then if it was me, even with wanting another child, I think I would try the sulfasalazine as their does not appear to be risk to female fertility

you will know within 3 months whether its right for you anyway

Hi Stacey,

There is a disclaimer in another area of Kickas regarding low carb diets and pregnancy... copied her for you.

Medical Disclaimer
The information provided on the KickAS website is not to be construed as medical advice.. In pregnancy, a low carbohydrate diet is potentially harmful to fetal development. Only your personal physician or specialist can make the best suggestions about your health and treatment.Everyone needs a diet that meets their nutritional needs, if in doubt consult a qualified dietician. Just a heads up... The diet works well for me, but I do not have to worry about becoming pregnant (if I do, something is wrong).

Take care,

Tim

Hope is only a post away with KickAS.
