I was doing a search on MSG because my wife said the gravy she just bought didn't have MSG in it. Well the label didn't specifically say MSG but I knew Autolyzed Yeast was the same thing. She didn't believe me so I had to look it up. I figured I'd pass this along... http://www.truthinlabeling.org/index.htmlI know MSG gives me a flare for a couple of days until it works out of my system. It also gives me Migraines. My mother uses some seasonings to make her gravy and gets me every time with a migraine. Its just so good I figure I'll sneak under the radar. No such luck.  Kerry

Hi! I found that I have a problem with preservatives and if I want to eat bacon I have to buy nitite/nitrate-free brands. The same with hot dogs or any other meats that use this regularly. Interesting, huh? Love - Helen

I also try to avoid msg when possible. Look out for 'Flavour enhancer 621' - it's MSG (in Australia anyway). You'll be amazed at what contains it. I seem to be Ok if I don't overdo it. Take Care & Have Fun Gwyn

seems to me MSG must be one of the secret ingredients of KFC. Everytime I consume MSC my left hand swells up. Everytime I consume KFC my left hand swells up. It may be linked to all the medicines I am on, especially the lipitor which is consuming my liver. charles

Maybe this is just fuel for the fire, but, oh well... My father once worked as a food inspecter for the US Gov't and we NEVER ate anything containing MSG. Hugs, Cindy  I am only one; but still I am one.

MSG. has been giving me migraines this year. Of course inNYC MSG is Madison Square Garden and the migraines are from the horrific play of the Rangers and the KNicks   stevec-they also serve who stand and wait

Oilme, Bingo! When they (whoever "they" were) did a analysis of the "secret spices" used by KFC, it was found that a major ingredient was, you guessed it, msg!
