If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Cristina I think that everything about this place is the greatest! God put us on this earth to help others, and that is the core of KA....to help others. I enjoy meeting people. I enjoy letting Ian know exactly how it is, pulling no punches (now if he would learn to listen I have come here with problems, receive all the help and hand holding I needed......and thank God for that womans forum! Some of the people here will remain my friend for life. That is the most important. Friendship. Good question! I hope that your holiday is as good as it can be. Hugs Lori

1. Is finding this wonderful website. Although I have not met anyone personally, just seeing all your beautiful faces(pictures) has made it a wonderful moment. Dan

For starters... Sitting up all night, many nights being silly with certain KA members... sometimes one on one and sometimes a bunch of us together. We laughed so hard some nights I had a belly ache. Meeting Buggy and her family for dinner in Texas. Getting PM's or emails of thanks from KA members and hearing they are doing great. When Lori, Lisa and Mike called me at the hospital. Getting Christmas cards from people at KA Great question Christina...as usual. I'm sure I'll remember more later. Hugs, Lisa

Sally, even before I was half way through your post I knew you were talking about Lori. Now, just don't let her know that I think she's great too. Ian Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. --Benjamin Franklin

I do not have a particular moment that I can think of but coming here is the favorite part of my day. And I come here EVERY day, even if I do not post every day I come here every day. There is no drug stronger than a good attitude.

I totally forgot Brother Lon's posts! There are few things that will wipe a frown off my face faster than his posts. The beer truck incident for example:) Since the old forum is now open, I thought I'd grab one of Brother Lon's posts so those who don't know his particular humo ur could see what I mean: My wife just doesn't get it! She told me to "do" four more chickens. I got up at 6:30. Was butcheirng at 7:00 a.m. Oh, by the way, have any of you tried to catch a chicken who is fighting for his life, since you got AS?
Well I made quite a dust storm in the chicken house. Birds were squawking and I was startin to sweat. I made up my mind to get a young rooster whos legs were turning in! When I cautch the guy who came over and taught him how to peck, I will give you a pice of my mind!
My aim is bad these days, so I use an axe with a extra long blade. I don't wear it much because it is always gashing the furniture and the truck seat.
I used my camp heater to boil the water outside. Plugged in some CD's and listen to David Mullen.
My question for all of you: when I was doing the last bird, I looked in the sink and I had a chicken two necks, one wing and no back! How could a bird live without those parts? It most be a government plot to confuse me.
I saved the feet, I thought I could use some grey duct tape and mount them on the wall to hold pens and pencils, and my cuban cigar for when I get my elk this year.
Are parts, parts? Does it make a difference. Will the extra neck find its way to the rest of its's body in the freezer? Lon "Maybe the problems of two people don't amount to a hill of beans. Hey Lori, What were some of the names we picked out for each other during one of our goofy nights with Lisa...do you remember? I remember one being loopy. I remember one night while talking to Lisa, we were being silly and talking about starting our own band. I said we could name it Lisa, Lisa (since we are both Lisa) and the KA Jam and she said "how about Lisa, Lisa and the peanut butter and jelly jam HA HA She was on some strong meds then and I am thinking she is the one that ended up with the name loopy. Hugs, Lisa

Hi Cristina, I have only been active on this site for the past 5 days, but I am thrilled with the responses I have received from my posts. The most amazing thing is to realize that I am not alone, that I don't have to live in fear of what will become of me and this strange disease that has taken over my life. I have renewed hope and I am willing to share this with everyone I know. I have been very fortunate not to have had as much difficulty as many people on this site, but my experience of living with undiagnosed AS chronic pain for 15 years has at times caused me to consider checking out for good. With fellow ASKickers telling is like it is and supporting each other, life became beautiful again, my motivation has returned. Even the simple act of sharing and helping others is proving immensely therapeutic. I love the sport of rowing and have found that over the years it has helped me manage my AS and keep it more or less contained. My Wesleyan University crew mates from class of 1968 have been getting together every year to row in the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston since 1992. Just this past October, I learned that one of them also suffers from AS. We have known each other for years and were unaware that we shared this affliction. When we compared notes, he too has found that the exercise of rowing has helped him immensely. I am not advocating this particular sport for all AS sufferers, but it has proven to me the value of regular non-impact exercise in maintaining flexibility and slowing the progression of the disease. Here is a photo of my crew in the 2002 Head of the Charles Regatta. Thanks for you question, Cristina. Rowr "Rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated."Mark Twain
