You know Sal...its funny This computer will not even be turned on by him all day. The second I sit at it, he says...."Can I have the computer now?" Hmmmm, I think his room will take him the rest of the week......no puter time for this child!

My kids do the same thing with the phone, as soon as I start talking they start screaming and taking chips from the cupboard and fighting and demanding my attention. Anyone who calls usually gets the "Hi how are you I was just thinki.... Let go of your sister Jaimee, I swear if you dunk her head into the tomato sauce one more time. Quick get the sauce bottle off your brother....NO....NO ......not the cream carpet.....oh why me...WHY!!!.......stop him from licking the sauce off your sisters head......ahem....sorry bout that now what were we talking about again!" I would love to tell your mom that, but being a mother of teenagers myself I know the importance of doing chores and then being rewarded, so just put your clothes away and wash the dishes and I am sure she will let you. My kids have to clean the entire house, from top to bottom. We split the house into 3 and clean every Sunday. I once went to a seminar about kids and chores. The man running the seminar has studied and researched this subject for years. He basically said if your children have no chores and no responsibilities they will end up as criminals. He didn't really mean that literally, but he was trying to impress upon parents how important it is to have your kids do chores. It is really easy to not make your kids work around the house, but that is not helping out the children. Your mom loves you so much, that she is doing the right thing, and she has done a darn good job. You have turned out to be a wonderful young man. So I know you didn't want to hear any of this, but I really believe that you will be happy one day, that your mom did enforce rules. It just means she loves you.!!! Wow! Eric  ...I don't think I would want to get your Mom mad at me....hahahaha. But you have now opened up to a round of negotiations that if you read between the posts you may be able to earn more computer time in exchange for something she wants?? laundry, special projects etc.....it's a good life lesson in the barter system....if that doesn't work there is always the sad puppy eyed look with a little begging that always gets the Mom . My best to you in your quest for more pc time. My teenagers are always on that same quest. I ill teach you a bit of magik we use at my house, don't tell on me though. When my kids want something if they throw in this magik word things always work out,

yep that's it. They have a much better shot at earning pc time than they do of just "getting" it. Moms fall under a trance when they see children working, it is amazing how soft that makes our lil stone hearts! Ancient magick that rarley failes, work!
So give it your best shot honey, I think you are so sweet and I would love for my teenager to meet up with ya here one day. You seem to have a huge heart, and an awful lot of courage. Please get that extra time so you can inspire and entertain, and Mama can relax because you have done your chores! Nothing but good there!
