If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi guys and girls, Another wierd thing going on with my body. Ever since I was in the hospital two weeks ago, my throat is hurting bad. The glands in my throat hurt, and the pain seems to be moving to my neck and shoulders. I told ER doc about throat , and he tested for strep, neg. and he said my throat looked fine. I went to see my GP Monday still in prettybad pain. I told him too about my throat, and he looked in and said it looked good. I do have a horrible throat and neck pain, no matter what they do not see. Not only that, I just flat feel awful. My back and hips are the normal daily pain I always put up with. But for two weeks now I feel very sick all over. I have no energy, my whole body is just in constant pain, but I must say my throat and neck are the worst right now. What on earth could be going on in there that they cannot see. Oh yea my white blood cell count is very high. Hospital said "you have an infection, but we do not know where." Anybody has any ideas for me I would appreciate it greatly. Debbie

If you have a high white cell count, and your lymphnodes are painful, it's because they're trying to fight the infection. Unfortunatly, it sounds like you're being brushed off by the doc''s. Have they rechecked your white count since you were released from the hospital? If not, be persistant about it. Go back in and tell them there is something worng and they need to find it. Do more blood work.
I sure hope you feel better, and more so find the cause!!
Big hugs~

Debbie, I'm with Stacie here. You do sound like you have an infection and that needs to be treated. Even if they can't get off their hinies and figure out where it is, maybe they can give you a general anti-biotic or something to help fight it off. I'm not usually one to run to the doctors asking for drugs (events of late aside), but if you're feeling that bad, you need to be looked after. Hugs, Kat

Hey Debbie -Sorry to say - but sometimes you just have to keep complaining so that they will finally listen. If you have an infection or feel crummy don't let the doctor off the hook. i can't even remember how long I complained (at least two years) about my headaches before one of my doctors finally realized it could be the NSAIDs. Bingo! Have fun nagging. Helen

Hi No, nobody has done any blood work since I left the hospital. My GP is wonderful about trying to treat me, but sometimes I think I stump him. Thanks for the advice. I will keep bugging them. Deb

Debbie, have you checked your thyroid levels? Sometimes an over/underactive thyroid can swell up and be painful, and the symptoms would be much like yours, including the fatigue and the bad shape.
Just a thought from Jade

Hi Jade No as far as I know it has not been checked. I am going to a new doc today, maybe I can get a chance to ask him about it. Thanks Debbie

Sore throats are the worst! The pain of a sore throat is always right there at the front of your consciousness - every single time you swallow, YOWCH! One time I ate 1,000 cookies without chewing one bit. You talk about a sore throat! (see attachment)
