If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Everyone : I hope your backs are tolerable today!!! Does anyone know any confirmed scientific data on the best make-up of material to have directly under our spines for 8 hours nightely? My 2nd hand Queen mattress is burn't out bad , and I'm waking in severe pain each day now. I'll have to save or pray for a new mattress only( can't afford boxspring). I know hi-density foam is quite warm, but stiff and rough textured. Magnets promise pain relief, but for sure improve the multi-levellers pocketbook-I don't know if I buy the premise. For me , I know, its got to be super-firm, of good quality , and affordable. Any brands, makes, avenues, or companies that can either be scientifically backed up, or heavily and personally reccomended for the healthiest slumber, for our particular spinal challenges? Hi Brian! I have gone through many mattresses over the years. I even tried a magnet mattress, unfortunately I was (so they say) one of the few who ended up having more pain. I now own a Tempurpedic and like Damian I absolutely love it! It was well worth the price as I have had the best sleep so far. We have had a few threads on this subject so you might want to do a search in all forums, type in Tempurpedic and you'll get others opinions. Good luck Brian, wishing you less pain. peace Kathy "The most beautiful stones have been tossed by the wind and washed by the waters and polished to brilliance by life's strongest storms."

Hi! What is the difference between a dux bed and a tempurpedic?? They look fairly similar. And after having a tempurpedic bed why do you want to switch? just curious... Thanks. McMom

Hi Damian, I was just reading over your post and pleased to see that you have a tempurpedic! I've been saying that I want one! I take it that you like it! Yes? What is a Dux bed tho? Trinka

Hi everyone! I decided to go check out the Dux bed and I must admit I am impressed. The thinking behind the bed is that more coils means better support. And there are a lot of coils in this bed! I tried lying down on a couple of different systems that they had and really liked the one with the coils on the bottom, middle and top. I checked out the way my spine was aligned and liked what I saw: my spine was straight regardless of whether I was on my side or back and the bed is supposed to be good for 20-30 years (some of us could bequeath our beds in our will). The price is a little daunting however - - a queen size bed is a little over $4000!! Maybe one of us needs to get a job in a Dux shop and share the employee discount . Anyway, I thought I'd pass that along. I haven't looked at the tempurpedic beds but I'll do that when I have an extra bit of time.... -McMom

Hi! Another thought - does anyone else besides Damien and Earthwoman have something other than a conventional mattress? And how do you like it? -McMom

Hi McMom, I don't have a conventional mattress. I have had a waterbed for almost 20 years. It's not the kind where you lay on it and you feel like you're in moving waters. Mine has baffels in it that stop the water from waving. It also has a heater in it. Mine being a separate heater from my hubby's. So I can crank mine up as high as I like...especially in the winter. I also sleep with a very flat pillow. I love my waterbed and it's very comfortable. My first rheumy told me it was good for the back. Michelle
