Hi Sinta

I am a big reader and will read just about anything except true stories. I watch very little tv oh I do have my favorite shows (if I remember to watch them is another thing).
But some of my favorite authors would be

Sidney Sheldon, Wilbur Smith, Mary Higgins Clark, Michael Eberhardt, I could go on and on.
Sorry I couldn't be of much help. But I agree with you some books are just so expensive. But is there a used bookstore where you live?? Sometimes they have really good deals.

Take care
Valerie

Hi,

I was happy with the book. A friend also read it but felt it back tracked and mentioned too much of Aylas past and her first child that remained in the clan of the cave bear tribe. I believe the author did this though to prepare for her next book and I'm hoping that they may reunite Ayla with her son.
This book I feel is worth it as I was waiting with pure excitment to find out if Ayla has her child and what he or she will be named etc.....I thoroughly enjoyed it even through the heavy amount of description that Jean M Auel writes.

I think it's perfect for sitting back and reading before you have your hips done.

The most important questions you will ever answer are those that your children ask you.

HI Sinta,
If you go to the literally forum and change the date to go way back to when the forum began you can get some great suggestions there. When the forum began a bunch of us were in the process of reading a great series (can't remember the name for some reason) plus there are lot's of others.
One book a highly recommend to people with chronic illness is "Beyond chaos... one man's journey along side his chronically ill wife". By Creg Pillburn.
The guy is a great writer and you'll see so much of yourself, friends and family in it, along with alot of familar emotions. This book made me laugh and cry and my husband who isn't much of a reader even enjoyed it. He writes of alot of problems him and his wife were having and how they got through them.
Just thought I would mention it and to let you know about the beginning of the book forum. The series we were into was fantastic.
I have lot's of boxes of book that I am going to be going through someday soon. When I do, if you're interested I can ship you some. May take a little while to get to you though. I'll let you know ok.
Hugs,
Lisa

I enjoy Amy Tan as well cause it adding some of my knowledge about ancients Chinese beliefs that it still exist until now. Beliefs that may sound very superstitious but some of them also contained wisdoms .

Dear Johnny,

Too bad that I can’t find good library here so if I want looking for a good books then I shall go to foreign bookstore which could cost me a fortune. When I stay in my friend place in San Jose, I’ve stop by to the public library over there and I am quite impressive. Wish that someday my place would have that kind of library.

As about story – I like sad side too cause it feels more touch the earth – well life isn’t supposed to be easy. It brings an effect like somehow my life isn’t too bad at all . But, I am very open with any kind of books, classic, adventures, ghost stories by Anne Rice (The Witching Hours series).

You write a novel? I would like to read it and I believe you are a very good writer.

Thanks,
Sinta

Hi Deborah,

I have Diana Gabaldon but maybe not a complete series but I can be sure that I have Drums of Autumn – it’s very magnificent story

Memoirs of Geisha? This is the book that I’ve been interested

I find Harry Potter series is quite entertaining and for the last one – well, should I let you know how it end?

I have just finish Disclosure by Michael Chrichton last night, I believe there is a movie comes out from that book (Michael Douglas – Demi Moore). I missed the movie and thought it might be a good book. Well, I like the tension brought up and surely I like lawyers and good arguments .
Lawyers story always caught my attention you bet I like John Grisham.

Hi,

My first intention of reading novels in English is to improve my vocabulary and most of the good books come in English language. I remember when my friend lends me pile of books and how I feel obligated to read it all .

Enjoy your next book

Hi Valerie,

I think I already read all of Sydney Sheldon books and read some of Mary Higgins Clark as well.

I remember Pete mentioned to me once that he could find a used bookstore in his place and can get one used novel (still in very good condition) for only 50 Cents. That’s very amazing and too bad I can’t find it in my place.

Well – I don’t mind spend money for books but sometimes the price here is double than the real price. But if it’s a good book then its well worth

Thanks,
Sinta
