Hi,
I was happy with the book. A friend also read it but felt it back tracked and mentioned too much of Aylas past and her first child that remained in the clan of the cave bear tribe. I believe the author did this though to prepare for her next book and I'm hoping that they may reunite Ayla with her son.
This book I feel is worth it as I was waiting with pure excitment to find out if Ayla has her child and what he or she will be named etc.....I thoroughly enjoyed it even through the heavy amount of description that Jean M Auel writes.
I think it's perfect for sitting back and reading before you have your hips done.
The most important questions you will ever answer are those that your children ask you.
