If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I'm sorry to hear about your son's accident Cindy. I hope that a Doctor has given him a thorough examination to see what else could have been injured. Even though there were no obvious broken bones or lacerations, there is a chance that some of his nerves could have suffered some severe compression or some level of damage when he landed and I hope they check this possibility out.
The numbness of his legs and the muscle spasms do suggest some nerve involvement.
The advice others have given to not quickly accept settlement from the Workman's Compensation is good advice. Your son needs more than a quick evaluation in the hospital or Doctors office before any settlement should be talked about. It is also in the best interests of the company your son works for, to make sure that your son receives the best possible care.
I do hope that he will be OK.
George

I'm sorry about your son. Despite what someone else said above, I think you should still see the lawyer (and I think someone else mentioned a couple of doctors/physical therapists) to make sure that your son gets put into the *right* category of injury and can get the appropriate benefits.
Their interest is to get you to sign something soon, perhaps before all the damage is fully apparent...

I'm sorry I don't have time right now to answer each post. I thank you all for your support. Things have taken a turn for the worse. His pain is out of control. We're on our way to the hospital now. He went back to the ER as he has lost all use of his right leg. He also has lost his bowels and bladder. He is heartsick and in pain. He just can't quit crying. I'm hoping to give him and his wife some TLC. I'm in a lot of pain tonight, too, but I'll just use my trusty old wheelchair. I won't feel better staying home, that's for sure. I'm just gonna be a mama tonight. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers and will let you all know how he is. Hugs, Cindy I am only one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything. But still I can do something; I will not refuse to do the something I can do. Helen Keller
Hugs,
Cindy

Oh Cindy, I feel for you and your family. It is really tough when it is your own child.
Advise from a lawyer may not be a bad idea; however, just remember that if you hire a lawyer than workers comp will drop the case and he could end up with little. Again, each state is different.
Maybe Steve can give you his 2 cents.

I am very sorry to hear about your sons accident. I have a 19 year old son and I could not stand it if anything happened to him. As a mother I am sure you will do the right thing for him, it just comes naturally to mothers. Best of luck to you and I hope your son gets well fast.

Hey Cindy, I can't imagine your anguish or his fear. Maybe its something structural that will heal in a short time. An MRI should show if there are any hairline breaks leading to nerve involvement causing his severe and extensive pain. As for talking to a good Comp. lawyer good idea to get to him or her right away wo that your son is well taken car of for the time he is laid up. Hoping all will be well soon, Me and my little family     stevec-they also serve who stand and wait

No, I meant a lawyer to deal with Workmen's Comp., not a lawyer to sue the company he was working for.
