As for the ruby slippers, I've had Bruno scouring the countryside for decades. He's adept at finding his way into homes at times of least convenience to homeowners, since generally they're not home when he's there.

If he finds the rubvy slippers a house is gonna fall on the person wearing them, so to speak, so we can have 'em here.

As for "difficulty accepting offers of assistance from others" its still amazing how my kneejerk reaction is to say no to any offer. I can se me now in the case of a catastrophe like a fire burning down my home. Firemen show up and I tell them thanks but no thanks I got it under control then I hobble across the street with a bucket to draw ounces of water from the neighborhood pond. Doh!!!!

As for the girls being strong. Jamie seems to have mastered strong. Hoping she can fake the sweet part.

SHe growls loud as a bear at Diane cause its funny and she knows Di gets weirded out by it.

Its a big martini. It takes three olives. oNe to get it started. One for halftime commercials and one at closing time. Fell into once and thank goodness I opted to get the half hourly lifeboat sail by option in it.

I think I posted it only because I had occasion yesterday to remember how vehemently I used to plead for this nonsense to just go away. I never saw any other good solution in the long term for AS. Maybe there are no good solutions long term but I sure have learned a ot about me along the way.

Pitching a baseball to your nine year old son. NOw that to me sounds like perfection. As much as I loved golf if I could have one physical skill back it would be to throw... really throw a baseball.

I can't thank you enough for the inspiring post.

I met a great man a while ago. I'm beginning to get serious about him. But AS complicates things, as we all know. It's a factor in every decision we make. I'm trying to get things together, but I don't seem to be doing a very good job. Your post made me smile. Somehow, I'm more confident about the future.
