Oh, glad that will work for you!! I made lots of homemade yogurt a few years ago - but my body still didn't like it even after 24 hours - though others report very positive experiences with it for sure. (even though I wasn't getting the normal dairy bloat/gut pain, I still noticed joint pains and the feelings of ulcers forming for me - but that is just my own personal experience - I am very, very intolerant of dairy - might as well say allergic)

If you really want a treat - use heavy cream for the base of your yogurt - and you will end up with a rich heavy whipping cream for putting on desserts & eating with berries and honey -truly divine! Or you can also "drip" your normal yogurt for a few hours through a coffee filter to separate out the whey and thicken it up - but I found half & half milk/cream to be truly decadent. I only wish I could recreate the same textures with almond or coconut milk - so far not so much.

I hope you enjoy the chia and raw cacao as much as I do. I very highly recommend the chia pudding - I have the recipe on my website - a very satisfying dessert with berries also.

I have been at this alternative diet stuff 7 years now - anything I can do to help people shortcut the learning curve, I am more than happy to do - it was a very long and bumpy road for me, that is for sure!

I'm now a KICK AS (and Kick IBD) success story!! After going low starch Paleo to heal my gut, I can now eat nearly all starches, grains & foods without inflammation, flare-ups, or pain. I used a modified SCD diet approach (minus dairy! plus cacao ♥). Cheers to healing & thriving again! I blog at http://www.forestandfauna.com/about/
