Hi Spondy_lishes,
I know about the impacts of carbonation too, but at the time sipping on some pop seemed so much easier than taking another medication for heartburn and or colitis. I was really never that into drinking pop though. Now that I am getting used to drinking water again the heartburn is starting to slowly improve. Each day seems to be getting a little better.

PLEASE do not start drinking sugar -free

I never like the taste of sugar alternatives so I won't be going that route. The only sugar I have now is a little table sugar for my cup of decaf coffee or tea. It's somewhat rare for me to eat desserts or sugary snacks too. If I ever do, it's only a small amount and only once in a great while.

Take care,
James
