so this morning I got up to sunny skies and a pretty horse and the baby and hubby were asleep and I saddled up and took off.
then got hit by a storm out of nowhere . . . rain, hail and lightning. Horse did awesome. She was perfect. I got soaked.

Watched my house get hit by lightning. I do not recommend this for weekend entertainment. I convinced myself I'd seen it wrong until I came inside and my hair stood up. Cody, with his bad heart and blood pressure, seizures and anxiety, wasn't feeling so great, needless to say. Bailey, bless her, SOMEHOW slept through it! I checked her breathing, I was afraid it had killed her.

Nothing burned, no one was injured, but Cody and I are both very shaken by it (the dog almost left home over it, poor guy) and now my rainy horseback riding (when I was already flaring, but I HAD to ride, or I was gonna die of shame) has me in so much pain it started to panic me in bed (you know scary pain, like childbirth?) so I had to get up and talk to my KAers or I was gonna end up hysterical. I already took my LDN so I can't take a perc or have a drink . . . I'm trying not to puke. yay 3:30 a.m.

today was eventful, you could say. My best gal brought me some new books to read, maybe I'll just get in the recliner and read . . . take my head out of my body for the rest of the night. it's a bad place to be right now. And the neighbor's effing peacock won't shut the heck up. I have some fantasies about that bird . . . and my roasting pan, and some new potatoes, and some garlic . . . wink3

I canNOT believe I didn't get bucked off today. My horse is awesome. How many horses don't spook when lightning strikes a hundred yards away? While they're getting pelted by hail, no less. She is a saint! and the lightning just kept coming, for HOURS . . . the neighbor's fence got hit twice, and one of our trees once . . . like we ticked Someone off or something. I've never ever been afraid of a thunderstorm before (except for flash floods) but I was afraid today.

and thank goodness it didn't kill our computer!! but we have a water leak now that we didn't have before . . . (Cody failed to tell me this, and he just shut off the water, and I was quite puzzled for a while) lol

hugs to all my 3:48am-there-for-me-when-I-hurt-so-bad-I'm-crying friends hrtballon
