Hi! another Amy!!! I'm Ames too well, when I was in high school we lived in a town where we were surrounded by almond orchards. certain times of the year after they trimmed them, they made a big burn pile...usually in summer and tho I wasn't an early riser...I would wake up early and get some stuff together, an old pot(one that mom wouldn't flog me over too badly ) some tea, mugs, sugar and some milk. I'd go out to that burn pile that was all burnt out but still smoldering and in the dark of morning, you could still see all the orange embers blazing. I'd move those around and add some wood until I had a little fire and boil water on that and make what my parents called "billy tea". it was wonderful, smoky and sweet with the suagr and milk and it was just in time for sunrise. it was so quiet and perfect and so bright crimson, pink and then purple and then it faded into blue. that is one of my favourite memories. to answer the question, I don't get up early...as a matter of fact I've said for a number of years that mornings were made for sleeping and it was a shame that making a living had to interefere but I don't know if i could decide. because here we have gorgeous sunsets too! one is quiet and perfect and pristine and the other is sleepy and brilliant and settling! hmmm...I love them both but see sunsets more often. thanks for listening to me prattle!
