Hi,

I'm new to this site, have lots of questions related to NSD
and hope to find solution to my problems.
My story is very similar to many people with AS; misdiagnosed for many years found the name to my problems and for many years nothing realy changed. My rheumatologist prescribed repeat prescriptions for Feldene and panadene and I thought that I need to live with pain.
I have recently second, very bad episode of Iritis and accidentally click on this site found that may be cause of my problems is related to microbe.
I'm on NSD for over a month now and probably getting paranoid about starch content in some foods so here are some questions:

1. Almonds, carrots and soy milk, are they OK despite that iodine test is positive ?( please, refer to starch contents list)
2. Is there anything except eggs that you can eat for breakfast? I've tried fruits like pineaple, blueberries but have terrible heartburn after. I feel good after mangoes but they came positive for starch
3. Is it true that KP can breed on milk sugar?

I'm not a great meat eater as always prefer vegetarian diet, now I eliminated dairy products and since started testing all fruits and vegies for starches I'm quite frustrated when I need to eat.

Looking forwards to your comments,
maja
