Hi Avalina,

I don't think my hearing has been compromised at all -- confirmed just now by the simple test you suggested. It doesn't seem as if the ear problem is helped or hindered at all by the NSD -- although, I have wondered if some additional dietary changes could possibly help -- limiting or eliminating processed sugar, chocolate, and salt for instance. I know that eliminating those things is suggested for Meniere's Disease (another ear disease that people with auto-immune diseases tend to get -- but it is characterized by the addition of sudden vertigo which can last for hours and ringing in the ear(s) -- neither of which I have). I haven't forced those diet changes on myself, yet, to see if they would help. I have to think, though, that I'd be even healthier without any processed sugar in my system.

I could very well imagine that this might be the precursor of something else. I think, for the time being, I'm going to keep trying to fight it via natural means (while not completely resolved, it has been better in recent months after all), but if it worsens or I notice anything different or acute, I'll make my way to an ENT pronto. I'm not interested in messing around with my hearing, either.

I need to go! Visitors at the door!

Paula
