I eat lots of yogurt and tons of green leafy veggies. I tried a calcium supplement and got side effects - - difficulty in swallowing - - which means I was taking in too much calcium, so guess I'm getting all I need through diet. I also work out with weights 3 times a week, and do the elliptical or the bike at the gym. I swim just about every day but that doesn't help develop bones since we're weightless in the water. My last bone scan results were the same as with an average 35-year-old and I'm 20 plus years past being 35. Part of it is genetic, no one in my family has had osteoporosis, but I think following this diet plan for quite a few years has helped too. And exercise!
