Steve, your post made me think of Doris Day. Yes. Doris Day. She of the golden locks who was always trying to seduce Rock Hudson. Little did she know, eh....

Anyway, one episode of her TV series (yes, she did have one) in particular applies here. A friend of hers had written a song and submitted it to a, erm, "publisher" that said it would publish the song for a small fee. Doris knew this publisher was a crock and to prove it she wrote the worst country song ever and submitted it. If her horrible song were also accepted for publishing, then her friend would have to admit that his song was maybe not as good as he thought. Doris' song?

"Our love is like butter gone rancid." Kind of like any relationship with AS, yes? wink

Warm hugs,

Kat

Steve, great post! I had one of those dreams the other night. Back in the pool, diving off the blocks, swimming for the gold I never got the chance to obtain. I think most AS'ers have the loss of identity at one point or another. Is it worse to not have experienced or to have experienced and long for the day once more? I guess that is a discussion for a later date. I guess my point is we all need to work on this as it is a major player with this desease.
