If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Lenny, This is the best sight in the world to get hooked up to other AS'ers, so we are on the right road. Some good friends just waiting to be made here. Thanks for all you lovely words and personal vote, Lenny. I'm just one big smile. You sound pretty great yourself. Good-luck finding Ms.in your neighborhood. Talk to you soon.

Hey Loz, I'm trying to type a resonse to you right now, but it's a bit difficult as I am just a puddle with a pair of hands in my computer chair from your compliment. As I think to myself , if they are all as incredibly good-looking and charismatic as Loz, over there in the UK, I"M MOVING! So from a puddle's point of view, I agree with any thing you say Loz!!!teehee. Anyway, yes I am certainly open to meeting other people with disabilities, or pain, however we want to discuss it. Actually I was more open to that than to anything else(I was dating a really gorgeous guy in a wheel-chair for a little while and I really liked him, but he turned out to be a total jerk..so there you are!!!!teheehee) This is the first time in a while that I am going to give it a go with just the 'general' population'. Thanks for your powerful response Loz. Do you have a brother??? A clone??? Lizzz

Thank-you Gerard, this is a lovely post. Yes I want to thank EVERYBODY who wrote into this thread and then PMed me with further support. You've all filled my heart and soul to the bursting point, and gave me the shot of courage that I need to GET BACK out into the World in this way.(Far BETTER than whiskey). I TOTALLY agree about friends. I am a huge fan of friends and have really become a wonderful friend and truely supportive to alot of people. I don't know what I would do without my friends!! I am certainly open to having more gorgeous friends...BUT..it's time for passion and love for ME..and I will be drawing some lines in the sand. Liz

Hi Mig, I am SO glad that you brought up the point of the nurturing women concept. That had definately crossed my mind when i heard of the amazing Dorrit and Lady. One of my friends even said that when I told her some of the stories. She responded,"Well, they are women, and women are special." I didn't let that deter me cuase I know a little bit where she is coming from, but your response was brilliant in addressing that doubt and then refuting it. I'm sorry to hear about the selfishness of your ex..definately better to send that one back to his mother,no wonder she cried, knowing the big baby she was getting back in her lap. Sounds like you've done really well in meeting men..men being the operative word here..and that you have met some decent folk, with AS in it's proper place and being met with some care. As I was saying, I've not had any men in my life for an inordinately long time, apart for some extemely short-lived and some quite dangerous liasons. I know I have changed a lot as aperson..some of it in a difficult way with the pred. but some of that is a little bit more in control and I am working hard to get off that. But I'm not going to let any more of my life go by , pre or no pred., without trying to manifest some decent men in my life. I've changed for the better, and feel I know now how to be a good friend(without being a doormat or overly self-indulgent) and I feel my life is up and running again and a little more confident. So now is a good time..I feel I have some love to give and can recieve some as well. Thanks for the encouragement Mig and personal success stories are the absolute best, as long as I keep blowing out any doubts that try to creep in. The ya buts, you know..and you hit on a big one around the men with AS vs. the women. Good-luck with your new relationship!!I wish you all the love you can stand. Liz

Hi Sinta, What an absolutely charming post. I bet they are lining up for you, you are such a darling..and FUNNY. I love you sense of humour. And I LOVED it that you acknowledge that being single is fun too. That is so wonderful and made me think that I would like to feel more of that as well as going for love. There is something very healthy and profound about that statement, something that I will, of course, continue to develop in my life...just a general feeling of happiness no matter what is going in in my life. Thanks for bringing in that perspective. That is such a huge concept it could be a whole new thread. However, I can't wait to stick my finger into an electrical socket..tee hee.HEE!!! Thanks for all the good wishes and encouragement Sinta. I wish all that love to flood into your life too..who knows..maybe it WILL be the electrician.heehee. Liz

Hi Kat, What a great post. I love it that you've found a man who is so helpful and supportive, even in the practical areas witht he diet and no-starch. He certainly seems to be a pretty smart guy too, knowing NOT to give suggestions but supporting you in YOUR choses for health. That's brilliant. Also, not being naive about it is extremely important, that it will not be going away(that one is huge..I've run into a bunch of new-age ......***#########**** who could be quite tyrannical and judgemental. They insisted that I could heal this thing and I was aloser if I didn't) AND, that it could become debilitating (mine did, big -time..until Remicade came along) so my potentials will have to accept that my As is debilitating without powerful drug control.. I will wait a little while before i talk about THAT..but ultimately.. I love it that you reminded me that I have to remeber that with all of this, thereis still ME and that hopefully they will love ME, despite the seriousness of my situation. I had to get really loving me first before I could even attempt this..so therapy really helped with that. Thanks so much for your suport and personal story Kat..very inspiring.. and I hope your theatre piece was a huge success. Liz

Hi Lady, That pretty much says it all! I am very moved by every aspect of this post, the humour, the realness of it. You nailed it when you said that the real terror is not As, but trying to be with people who do not love you for who you are. I've had a LOAD of that type in my life, and I had to ask myself what I was doing!! Thanks so much for getting involved in this thread and giving such a great story. You and Bob have GOT IT RIGHT! Liz
