If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Dean and welcome to the site. I'm glad that you chose this site for your means of information, support and friendship. You could not have made a better choice! Best of luck to you in your quest to be pain free. I would be interested to hear your experiences with iritis. How long have you had it? How bad is it and how adversely does it affect your eyesight. What are you currently doing for it? Believe me, from personal experience (over 13 consecutive months) that it is nothing to mess with. I'm still going through some pretty heady stuff. I put off going in to have it checked until the opthalmologist said I was on the verge of a glaucoma attack. I have put so many steroid drops and injections, that it caused a cataract. I had the cataract removed in December. As of yesterday at my last eye appointment, I was expecting to be prescribed for glasses, but the doctor said the inflammation had flared back up again. So for now anyway, no glasses to finally correct the vision. PLEASE, PLEASE don't hesitate to get your eye(s) checked if you haven't already. I regret that I did and I hope no one else has to go through it. Glenn

Hi Dean, Welcome to KickAS. I see from your profile that you're in Indiana, too. Where do you live? I'm in Connersville. I'm glad to see that you're going to the eye doctor tomorrow. Iritis is nothing to fool around with, as the others have said. Connie

Wow, you're not far from me at all. There are some other Hoosiers here, but I'll let them identify themselves for fear of leaving someone out. All you Hoosiers say "hello" to Dean. Connie

Hi Dean and Welcome to our family. Glad you found us, although I am not happy to hear of the AS or iritis. As it was mentioned already, iritis can have permenant results if it's not checked out, so I am glad to hear you made an appointment. It's usually best to be seen for this when the first symptoms appear. As you hang around more, you'll realize that your not alone and that your feelings are not unique. We know that it's hard to stay positive all the time, which is normal, but I could tell already from your post that your a pretty positive person most of the time... "you can bet that I will do whatever it takes" is exactly the kind of attitude you need to have. Can't share too much with you regarding the NSD, as I haven't been on it too long myself, but I do know the forum has alot of great info and recipes that I'm sure will help. I hope you stick around and take the time to get to know us and allow us to continue to get to know you better. The knowledge here is better than 100 docs put together and the support is the best. Take care, Lisa

Thanx to everyone for the warm welcome. I went to get my eyes checked today and was told they are fine. The doctor said that I did not blink enough. He gave me some samples and a lecture on AS and Iritis. He suggested a yearly appointment and suggested I continue to use the artificial tears as a lubricant. He also said that if at any time the tears did not work to call immediatly. This was good, I needed some good news.
