If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

HI Connie,
Thank you so much for telling me your story. I really don't understand the blocks under your hips but I'm just starting with all this. I can use all the input I can get. My husband has been really sturn with me tonight about getting a rheumy that will work with me. I may make an appointment to see my brothers rheumy that diagnosed him with AS this last year. What this web sight has tought me is that I really need to get the right treatment if I have AS. It's also tought me that there are alot of people here that care and that really means alot to me!
Thank you soooooo much you guys!!! Wendy

Yes, I agree also. I've had several ESR tests. Practically each time I see my GP or Rheumy. Sometimes I've been in awful pain, with extreme stiffness, but still the result is in normal range.

I don't know of any disease that fuses your neck other than AS. What more do you have to suffer before someone dx. you!! Symptoms and especially fusion of the spine are enough criteria in my book to dx. you with AS. I am so sorry that you are suffering so, and you can't get a doc. to listen. It is a TRAGEDY!!
Keep seeking Simone

Hi Wendy, I'm with the others. If you can get in to see your brother's rheumy, by all means, run as fast as you are able to the first available appointment. You are HLA-B27 positive, which by itself isn't enough to warrant a diagnosis of AS. However, you say that your brother has AS and AS often runs in families. So that's two reasons. I don't know you very well, but somebody indicated that your neck is fused???!! Now, I could very easily have misunderstood, but If that's the case, insist on an appointment this week if possible.
Best of luck Wendy. And I'm glad you found us.
Hugs,
Kat

Sorry I didn't explain that very well, Wendy. Imagine that you are lying on your back with something under your butt on one side. The result is that your pelvis is tilted. Apparently, that gives a better view of the SI's than lying flat. Does that make sense? Connie

Thanks Connie, it makes sense. Maybe I haven't been through the exrays I really need. Hopefully since my Dr. has said that I might know more about this than he does, because of you guys, he will be willing to listen and work with me.
