Colleen Ann in her infinite wisdom [wisdom] thought my reply to one of her suggstions copntained a laugh or two and since I try to be as self absorbed as possible I have to agree and so I repost it here.
Ironically it was posted under my king of Stupid header and as further proof of that point I must retype the entire thing since I can't figure out how to quote myself.
I think you're onto something there with me as a WWF competitor. Of course, I'd needfair competition. Think I'd have a shot against some inanimate objects. I wouldn't star off with an opponent as lethal or cunning as a seed-slicer. I can hear the introductions now. " In this corner we have AS Steve, the King of Stupid- Prince of Procrastination and Lord of the Terrible TRio and his opponent this evening is the devilishly clever underdog The Spool of thread. The King weighs in at a sveltdt 138 pounds while The Spool at an inconsequential 1/2 of one pound.. And there's the bell. Steve is up and charging The Spool at breakneck speed which of course is more like a slow crawl to the rest of us. The Spool remains perched upon his stool almost tauntingThe King of AS Stupids to attack. Oh that Spool is one cool customer. Look out for his pointy little needle, many is the WWF'er who underestimated the damage that little pointer can inflict. Steve is approaching.... approaching....still approachingas quickly as he seems able....Oh for Pete's sake hurry up. Now he's there and he grabs the tightly wound spool and hurls The Spool violently to the ground. Yes wrestling fans this IS going to be the match you all expected! The Spool vs. The Fool wasn't just hype. It is two masters of the ring doing what they do best. The Spool rolls away across the ring leaving a trail of thread as he's decided to unwind a little and see what this new stategy brings.
Steve pursues...and he's getting there slowly, but WAIT he's dragging that left leg.... OH that sciatica can be trouble when challenging a crafty opponent like the Spool. Steve is getting tangled up unwittingly in the vibrant pink thread of The Spool around his ankles as he lumbers across the ring. Steve, The King, has the size advantage but it ismore than obvious which of our two competitiors has the upper hand in the intelligence department. Steve extends again toreach The Spool who is playin' possum on the ring floor. What was that thunderous noise....Ladies and Gentlemen....Wrestlin' fans of every age , I can only think it was a lumbar explosion as AS Steve extended down to reach the clever Spool. OH NO its worse thanI expected. Steve is caught in a web of Spool spun thread and he's lost his balance. He can't keep his balance and....and...NO...THE King is down. Caught up ina web of thread. IT is just too gruesome to watch. A King of Stupid brought so quickly to his kneees by A Spool of Thread. This match is histroy.
Tune in next week when The King returns to give his best effort wrestling against concepts. Monday He is pitted against the fierce competitor His Own Conscience. Steve is sheduled to go three rounds of wrestlin'with His conscience. Stream of consciousness is prohibited so ou sponsors will have time for advertisements. Rumors are The King has an enormous chance for his first victory since his days as an attorney may have removed his conscience and result ina victory by forfeit......

Whadya think . Should I give up the day job and start Orchestrating celbrity daethmatch fo the folks on MTV.

Steve, I am totally lost for words, but like usual, you surely gave me a chuckle.
