Untill the planned launch date (Monday, September 9, 2002) of the new non-profit orginazation I am planning on starting: Power over Pain.

I have discussed this a little on the forum, but now have set a date for the incorperation of the orgination. Currently, we have one of five members of the board of directors. This is a very bright student of forign business and forign policy who is very excited to be a key link in an important cause. I am the acting ecexutive director untill the official vote by the board of directors.

Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pensilvania, and Washington DC AS kickers, we would wlecome your support in any way possible. Wehther you would like to searve on the board of director (there are 2-3 seats designated for sufferers of chronic painfull diseasese). Or if you are looking for a paid position with the company (even if you do not live close, I am thinking on having some tele-commuting jobs and jobs that can be done over the internet), Power over Pain is going to be have a rather relaxed attendence policy and many alternative employment approaches due to the fact that we plan to have either all or the majority of employees be sufferers of chronic pain, many of whom cannot work regular jobs due to the inpredictability of their disability.

AS kickers in other parts of the US, and in other countries, please PM me if you have interest in being a player in starting a local branch of POP. We are planning on, after we have gotten everything working with the headquarters to start opening local branches in all 50 states, possibly in major cities, and then go international. Also if you know anyone with a different chronic painfull disease that might be interested in participating or further information, feel free to PM me with that information, or give them my e-mail address: SolinDanInDC@AOL.com. So far the diseases that we will be addressing are as follows:Anklyosing Spondylitis, Rhumetoid Artheritis, Osteroartheritis, Sickle Cell Anemia, Fibromialgia, and Lupus. If anyone would like to sugest another disease that is not on the list, but is a chronic painfull condition, please let me know.

Some time late this summer we are planning to have a pre-incorperation fundraiser to cover some of the incorperation costs. Right now it is planned to be a bike-a-thon on Rockville, Maryland's brand new 46 miles of bike paths throughout the city. Anyone interested in assisting with this or interested in further information as it becomes available, feel welcome to PM me.

P.S. I sent a sample of the group's logo to Loz to see if it could be put on here. Just wanted to explain why the flag on the right is New Mexico. 1st it's an easy flag to draw, 2nd It's my home state.

Hi Daniel, I'm glad to hear that you have started your new organization. I remember you talking about this a while ago and was wondering if you were still going ahead with it. This sounds like a great org. for so many people. I think that you are a very compassionate person and would be great for a organization like this.I wish you all the best in getting this org. started.

Thanks for expressing interest. I was doing some reading today on incorperating out of state, and it looks like we will be able to start opening branches much sooner than I thought. Probably just a few months after theh launch date of the DC group, or earlier if I find some people in particular states who would like to start getting the orginization ready to go in their state. I'll PM you with some more information about the orgination.
