If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Zark, My liver got pretty bad and remember my first symptom being no balance. Everytime I would try to walk, I would run right into a wall. It was like a magnet pulling me right to it. Very strange feeling. I actually thought I might have had an inner ear infection. The second one was itching very badly. That has something to do with the bile under the skin from what was told. Shortly after that the nausea hit along with terrible stomach aches and feeling very tired all the time. It took a long time (a couple months) to start feeling somewhat normal again. Once the liver counts started coming back down I started feeling better. A count of 300 or over is a dangerous level and mine was at 3500. Just thought I would give you an idea of what some of the symptoms are. Hope this helps with your question. Take care, Lisa

Well my damage did end up being severe, but I just felt out of whack. My food didn't feel like it was sitting properly, and my stomach was just uneasy a lot. So that's when I went to the doctor we decided to go ahead and get off which the uneasyness went right away. shannon

After30 years on all the different NSAIDs my kidneys had a bump in the creatinine reading on my yearly blood work.this is indeed kidney failure. after discontinuing Celebrex my kidneys went back to normal. As far as liver, methotrexate is real toxic especially if you add alcohol. Vicodin ,Norco, and the other various versions of Hydrocodone have tylenol piggybacked onto them.I now take Morphine continous release because I am older and don't want to injure any of my internal organs further.i am doing better than in years. I went on Enbrel last May and by the beginning of June my liver enzymes had gone from normal (70) to dangerously high (over 700) The only symptom I had was depressed appetite, no yellowing, no itching, no pain, no fever, but if I hadn't had blood work done regularly I was headed down the road to liver failure. So off the Enbrel, and scared to try anything else, including Remicade (because Enbrel isn't particularly hard on the liver and look what happened). The doc thinks maybe it was because I had just gone off Arava and Arava stays in the system for up to two years, so maybe it was the double whammy. Whatever, I had drug induced hepatitis. Fortunately the liver can make an amazing recovery, enzymes are now normal, but the only thing I take is a muscle relaxer at night (good old Soma) and sometimes a sleeping pill if I am really feeling antsy and achy. And I work out five times a week, cardio and weights, which helps even on those days when exercise is the last thing I want to do. It's a shame because Enbrel was doing a good job of controlling the symptoms.
The doctor put me on the muscle relaxer baclofen because it's metabolized in the kidneys, not the liver, but in the teensy print on the "side effects" thing it mentioned hallucinations. I had three weird nights before I figured out it was the drug, not that I was losing my mind, apparitions would appear in my bedroom - - felt like I was in the middle of a Stephen King book, one was a guy wearing a green shirt and red pants with an evil grin, another a 300 pound lady in a green dress - - and then there was the giant cockroach that I hallucinated walking across the ceiling. Pictures would move and handwriting appear on the walls of the bedroom. I was screaming like a lunatic 3 or 4 times a night, which was disconcerting to Jim to say the least. I was afraid to go to sleep because it would happen if I woke up during the night. Stopped the drug and the crowd went away but it was a terrifying time. So the bottom line is whatever drug you go on, beware of the side effects!

I don't know what caused my liver problems but the doc thinks it is autoimmune caused by the Lupus instead of a drug but we are not adding any new drugs. Just going for pain relief and it's not working. My side kept hurting and I was retaining abdominal fluid. Had an ultra sound and endoscope and colonoscopy. The ultra sound shows my liver enlarged and we are trying nutrition and exercise for 3 more months and then see the size of it and then if it is not going down, we are going to biopsy. They gave me a reprieve because my labs are not scary just the enlargement (but it does have spots on it that are usual with fatty liver). Meds are scary. Can't live with them and can't live without them. Seriously. Blessings. Possi
