Greetings Guys

Car T cell therapy a newly created technology whereby Your own B antibody cells are extracted from your blood reprogrammed and reinserted into your blood which causes your immune system to switch off from attack mode. This basically leaves you cured.

This technology has been successfully used to treat cancer and other autoimmune conditions providing a type of cure
For the underlying autoimmune condition.

I believe it is entirely possible for it to be used for the curation of Ankylosing Spondylitis, since cancer is autoimmune condition as well, if that is possible it is definitely possible for AS too, and other conditions such as
Chrons, Lupus, MS, Psoriasis etc etc.

See here: https://www.labiotech.eu/interview/car-t-cells-txcell-treg-cells/

The only drawback will be resistance from pharmaceutical companies promoting Biologics which is perpetual treatment, and would hurt their revenue which would force them to burry this technology for many conditions like AS.

It is the year 2022 and Ankylosing Spondylitis has been discovered in the remains of people in Ancient Egypt dating back 12000 BC, its about time they found a cure....with genetic editing technology.

Genetic editing is not a 'new' thing but has bounced around as a possibility for years. I remember reading about it in literature in the late 1990's-early 2000's when desperately searching for a 'cure' for MS which as we all know is certainly not curable but is now managed by powerful drugs.

Back then it was sort of 'taboo' to think of genetic correcting. Then in the early 2000s CRISPR became 'the' new exciting method of gene splicing. It was heady stuff and continues to be.

Check out the link from pgEd:

Thank you for bringing this topic to the forefront, L33.
I will keep watching and hoping ever so much for this to become a very real possibility.
