If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

This is incurable genetic autoimmune disease to me it's stupid to cut back on chocolate just because you think this could stop your immune from attack.
Enjoy your favourite food in moderation and get enough nutrients AS will carry on regardless.
Once these genes switch on they continue to destroy for the rest of our lives.

Hi Smed, thanks for Your answer.
Starch is definitely a problem, because, as we know, it feeds klebsiella very well. Lactose can be a problem, if it reachs the bowel. I was wondering, in what other ways dairy and eggs could cause flares.

Rayd,
Some of us have found that casein, the protein in cow dairy, is a problem. It can be mistaken for lactose intolerance. You might find that you are all right with sheep or goat's milk/cheese, but not cow.
As to eggs, the only thing I know of is allergy.
All you can do is try eliminating things for a couple of months, then introduce them back into your diet one at a time. If you feel extra pain, then there may (may) be a link. So far, when it comes to AS, starches are the only foods that have been found to be a problem and even then, it's only a problem for some AS patients. Certainly not all.
Warm hugs,
Kat

If you suspect casein you could test a whey protein isolate. Whey is cows milk with the casein removed. Make sure you get one that's not full of other ingredients, you want one that is just whey isolate, and an instantiser like lecithin. You can add your own safe flavouring (unless you think you will like something that tastes like bull semen).
Many of the whey providers do samples so you don't have to buy a huge tub.

Hi there, thanks very much for all the information and recommendations! I found in another post the following link: http://www.thepaleomom.com/autoimmunity/the-autoimmune-protocolFrom today I try some things, which are recommended on this site. I am eating a lot of eggs (6 per day) and almonds, drink quite a lot of coffee and eat flax. I am avoiding this stuff and dairy now, reduce the sugar very strict and we will see, what is happening. What do you think about this? Can eggs be a problem? Oh and I bought finally some psyllium (thank you Dragonslayer) but didn't try it yet. There are just a few things left to eat but I hope I can add some food soon.
