If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

hello
Sometimes a month ago I have chest pain , especially from mid- night and then I have a little during the day , some days I do not.
Is this a usual symptom of spondylitis ?
Thank You
PS: Today I put my first injection of Enbrel , 45 minutes ago.
Many health

Chest pain is common yes I have it too. Is it ribs or sternum? Good luck on Enbrel hope you feel full relief It's a horrible disease pain is sometimes worse than cancer and is constant - day and night.

AS is a plain ole bu***r ! I have chest, both sternum and right side rib pain. Pretty much a constant. Find s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g helps the most, and deep breathing, intercostal diaphragmatic. And yes, the pest often visits at night time. So dislike these uninvited midnight cowboys...!! (Acerbic comment )

Unfortunately yes, it's a common problem in AS.

I'm 60 and haven't had that in many many years but when in my teens and 20s I would wake up unable to inhale because the expansion of my rib cage would cause horrific pain. I would need to get up try multiple positions and figure out through breathing how to get it to subside. Sometimes it would take hours if I remember correctly. It was really bad when damp summer nights turned cool or if I was near direct cool air from fan or AC. I think getting diagnosed and on meds took care of this problem. That was when I was 33. Also I would get a very sharp pain in a small area in the upper center of rib cage (perhaps the sturnim) which annoyed me most of the time. That went away after I did some water therapy with large plastic detergent bottles I developed what must have been muscle there and this in turn kept the dislocated cartilidge which was causing the pain in place. I never had that pain again after living with it for 20 years. I don't know if it was related to AS however.

Thank you very much , it was a pain that worried me lately ... I have two injections of Enbrel and seems to work quite well. In my foot pain was not as strong lately , I think that thanks to oral collagen, Omega 3 , borage and feeding, but back pain , neck and chest was with me on many occasions ....
Now I have a little discomfort on the big toe of the left foot (5% ) and chest slightly intermittently ( 5%).
Very lucky all
