If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Does anyone know if bone marrow edema always turns to osteophytes/syndesmeophytes or can that be stopped? I'm suppose to have a colonoscopy but I'm afraid to make things worse right now(terrified would actually be a better word). Cause I'm pretty sure that anaesthesia is gonna do a number. The other thing is is I bet my colon is wreck and my small bowel is definitely more inflamed(not sure if there will be lesions seen with the colonoscope though, knowing my luck with tests). I've had a ct miss my ibd and an MRI pick it up but we thought the MRI radiologist was good. I just really don't have faith in tests because I have major scars in my left eye and practically no huge signs like that in my right but my right is almost as bad. But besides that possibility I'm more worried about creating new deeper well established pathways And I'm in real bad shape ATM even though I do well with lifestyle. Probably gonna start a long fast to go with the exercise starting tomorrow to try and stop anything new from coming in. Any ideas?

Find a gastroenterologist that you trust and get the colonoscopy.
Due to being on LDN, they used propofol instead of the usual mix of drugs, and it was very easy. I also never had problems with the other mix of drugs either.
Why exactly do you think a colonoscopy will make you worse?
I hate the prep, but other than that, its good for them to see what is going on down there. If you've been having GI issues, I think its even more important for them to take a look.

Possi - Thank you, sweetheart. Hope you are doing well, mentally, if nothing else! I should find out my prognosis soon. There is an infection at work here, I'm positive. But so far no one has found out which 1(s). I hope the scope tells us something.

Bone marrow edema has more causes than from AS/spondy. I fell on an outstretched arm and had an impaction fracture of the humerus. Bone marrow edema along 2/3 of the shaft. Hurt a lot for a couple of months, then less over the course of a year of healing. Depends on what it's from and which bone(s) it is in. Where do you have the bone marrow edema? Some causes include: osteoarthritis, sports injuries, stress fractures, cancer, infection.
Good luck with the scoping. Hope it goes well. They are no fun, but a necessary evil, sometimes. Gentle hugs.

The propofol was a nice deviation from reality for the 2 seconds it was knocking me out and the 5 minutes when waking up. It did still do a number.
