If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Lon, I got to the part that said thank you for reading this long post and was shocked by how much I had read when I looked up. I really enjoyed reading it more than a few times. Write more if you can or have the time. Thank you again Lon

CoatTails... nice to meet you. Interesting name...care to tell us about it?
The love and acceptance that I have received here has been wonderful. I might add that I have also been challenged and schooled.
Tell me a bit abbut yourself

I am in N.E Arkansas. I have always been an avid hunter ever since before I was old enough to follow my both of my granddads around. squirrel, rabbit, ducks and geese. as a youngster, as i got a little older hunting whitetail. I have hunted whitetail here in arkansas for along time. Hunted them alot in Kansas, been to Saskatchewan. Mule deer in Alberta, I really loved that. Mostly hunting these deer with archery gear. This disease has really made me fear for my ability to do that, and my ability to do it with my son who is now 12. I am 46 now, the wanto is starting to fade for me here in the last yr with the fatigue and all. Alot of days I want to go, but just dont feel like it. Still hoping to find the right treatment to get me back on track. I am gonna keep on plugging at it. Still want to go after Elk, dont know if I will ever make it happen. I have been once to New Mexico, but it was pretty uneventful

Lon, the level of equanimity and patience you have achieved is something I strive to one day obtain. Were you born with an innate appreciation and acceptance for everything, or has this been slowly/quickly learned through books, life etc.? The name "CoatTails" is from finding people such as yourself. The more I learn from you, the closer I am (and hopefully others are) to riding coat tails all the way to mental well being. I'm an avid appreciator of life but patience and frustration sometimes get the best of me. Any tips or good reads, Lon? Your Harley trip sounds awesome! I just edited to add this article; http://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2011/10/0...-to-solid-gold/

Bax- Thanks for the response. I have also learned that we can change the way we feel (emotional thinking V. intellectual thinking. You describe a lot of what I have done, and who I am. I have had uneventful elk hunts- but getting to go seems to mean so much more. although most people do not understand how we have pain...taking your son and talking about life and love will gear him up for the things he will face as a man. I plan on archery hunting in the Big Horns in September. If my knees will let me.
This is good to get to know you!
