I tried to take Lola Mae- but she kept making fun of my hunting gear--all old wool, my orange hat on crooked, mismatched gloves.....but she can shake the heck out of a small stuffed animal!

I think being within 20 feet of a bear was the highlight!.....the vistas were incredible....snow on top,12,000 feet, yet I was standing without a shirt getting sun!!!!!

Man it is good to hear you talking. Went out the other day, thick fog everywhere. At eleven o clock Me an Ol Homer broke through the fog as we climbed the south side of the mountain. Looking around fog was everywhere like a blanket. One spot to the west was clear and standing out forty miles away was the Henry Mountains covered in snow and drenched in sunshine. Made my whole day, the big guy does good work. Lon When you finally take that trophy mouse I expect to be invited to a BBQ.

You mentioned fog...one year while putting the sneak on an elk herd...I got above the fog...as I sat and waited...the fog began to push up toward me, as though you were to see sand in a jar slide to one end. They soon, it began to drop- back down the draw as if creator was huffing and puffing on the canyon floor.
As I sat taking in what the Rocky's had to offer, my bull got up out of bed, snorted and walked away. I forgot to shoot- I was having so much fun.
BBQ - how about buffalo burger???

Good to hear from you as always Lon. Sorry the big moose got away and now your knees hurt from all the hard work. Doesn't seem fair does it? Still you were out in God's Country getting you some real outdoor church. Some of the best kind! Take care of them knees you and don't check out for such long stretches.

I will grant you that the Grand Teton Mouse is a much bigger & fiercer variety of the species. And because they are armed, you are allowed to brag.

Hi there! Yep it was a real salve to the soul.
I have had to drive to several prisons around Wyoming, so I get to see the snow capped mountains, the deer and the antelope and the buffalo. What a blessing

Lon, I am always so glad to see you have posted. I especially needed you post this morning. You are always such an encouragement.

I am having some additional struggles. Having tests for Myasthenia Gravis and also been to the Heart Hospital for tests this morning and for another test next week which will require sedation. I, evidently, am having TIA's.

My back is really hurting with this extreme cold and wet weather moving in and I am barely limping around with my knees.

We haven't lived in this city very many years and in a large place it is so much harder to get close to people even at church because everyone lives so far from each other. It is so good to be able to come here and say what is going on in life and be understood and accepted.

I thank you for that as well as all of my other dear friends here.

I was thinking of you last night as we were watching a show that showed this man who spent so much time out to catch the glorious pictures of the Northern Lights. Seeing that and the unlimited stars in Alaska was wonderful. I thought of you and the glory of the Lord's creation that you must get to appreciate in person. You are an inspiration.
