Nuclear scintagraphy - nuclear bone scan. Is soon out of yr system. The nurse injected me into my foot (tried to) and made a right pigs ear of it. Then a doctor arrived on the scene and got the vein in my foot in one go ! Bone scan is quick and really does showe up the inflammation whereas the MRI is slooooow and have to be fed into that MRI tube (horrible - trying to lie flat, uuuugggg) IF have an MRI ensure that a coronal STIR Sagittal tau-1, tau-2 fat supression is ordered up. A straight MRI will show nowt, waste of time ! (Over here in France the bigger hospitals always use the full works MRI for all spondys, but not so in the UK).

Hmmm.....just change the names in the scenario and that could well be many of us, John!

Some of us are very SLOW LEARNERS, it seems. blush and are our own worst enemies... (I speak from EXTENSIVE personal experience here! crazy2 )

I am trying to learn to accept my situation, but remind myself that I don't do it willingly and it doesn't mean that I like it. Definitely "a work in progress" so far, but making baby steps. ohwell

Good for them! That's the *best* of both worlds - I'm also a first generation Aussie with Scots (and Yorkshire ) heritage! grin

Happy to be a physio by day, not happy to be a Spondy 24/7! wink3
