Thanks for those pics Louise, they're great! I might have to save for future reference smile

When I'm having bad days, I get a lot of pain through the groin area and down the front inner thigh.....I try to keep my hip flexors stretched as much as possible.... is that the right thing to do?

Thank you for the pictures Louise ...as some have mentioned, it is hard to tell where the pain is coming from. Referred pain can make it real hard to pinpoint the exact place where the pain is located. I had back stiffness but pain in the hips and soft tissue in buttocks area. The doctor told me the pain in the hips was caused by the back. The hip pain was referred pain from the back.

Just my own theory, not told this by a Dr., but I think going about ten yrs. undiagnosed and dragging my right leg most of that time just wore mine out. Probably more wear and tear osteoarthritis than it was the AS.

My rheuma said that my pain is in trochanteric and it isn't from as but from sports. Trochanteric bursitis ? Does it from AS?

Hi all,
I had torn labral in hip too and had pain exactly where David explained and also down front of thigh to my knee. The pain is etched in my memory unfortunately.
I hope your hip pain settles down Yiannis
Cheers from Deb
