Hey, John, a quick question about the fast.

Should I be concerned about the color of urine? Mine does not seem to have changed since eating zero food, being strong yellow in the morning and light yellow during the day. Only when I am drinking tons of water (32oz an hr) does it go clear. I am drinking between 12 and 16 cups a day.

Is this just my body addressing issues it had not been able to address with constant food intake?

Thanks for all your help thus far, John!

Jeff

In a way, certainly; we throw off waste products at about the same rate, but we are just not accumulating so many when we are fasting. Urine color should not change very much as our bodies are well-regulated for feast/famine conditions and the character of the urine does not change very much.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. Thanks again, John.

Day 5 and sticking to it. Symptoms haven't let up at all yet but I'm hopeful.

I just read your post today and I know a couple of gals that can't eat strawberries becasue it makes their AS worse. I needed a few months before the NSD started helping me. I noticed less of that feverish feeling when I stuck to the NSD. I changed it up a bit recently, but the NSD did knock out some of my pain, it brought it down.

ps Hope you get some relief. Sometimes fish and meat can cause some swelling for me if its not a good week.

Diet change has improved my RA. I feel best eating raw veggies and some fruits and avoiding grains, sugars, nightshades, beans and dairy. Sed rate dropped from 65 to 19, but it took over a year.

JeffK, what happened after your 5th day of fasting? This was a very interesting thread to read, it's unfortunate there was no "last post" on the results. I hope you are doing better!

ooohhh this is an oldie. Pity. Would've suggested swapping the flax seed for something else as I don't quite trust that - pretty darn sure I have reacted to flax in the past.
