Well, just to add to the joy, my sweetie and I are going to be grandparents in January! His son says that even tho I'm not his blood mother, he considers me his step-mother and grandmother to his baby. So, even tho I've never had children myself, I'm still going to be a Nana.  Love and hugs,

Nanas get to spoil the little ones and give them back to the parents when they get all cranky!
My 5 month old granddaughter was here last night, we were playing and having a grand old time. As it was getting closer to bed time, she started fussing. I handed her to her mother and sent them home. Told her the best part of being a grandparent was not listening to fussing. LOL

Thanks, Lore. My Mum is excited too. Now she gets to be a great-grandmother and knit tiny things again!!  And my step-father gets to be a great-grandfather, even tho he's never had children either!! But my sweetie is thrilled, as are his son and soon-to-be-wife. Warm hugs,

you know, there is a saying....any one can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a dad....same thing thing goes for step children or step grand parents. You are gonna make a great Nana!

Just thought I would pop in and let you know that the little Eric that you all knew and loved is now 21 and a new daddy. Eric's son makes my third grandchild and the first grand son.  Wow, time sure does fly! Paul_in_TX_who_used_to_be_in_MD, but the admins said that was too long, and I could keep in_MD...
