If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I totally agree, Molly, everyone should stay informed and make decisions for one's self...I had to with my PCP Thurs., it was serious enough that I told him that I intend to change doctors and why....I asked him to help me put together a better treatment plan and that I wanted to ensure that all of my doctors were on the same page(he's the ONLY one that isn't and really, he never has been)...so I told him I wanted to drop these meds: Neurontin(3 per day), Flexeril(2 per day) and the Ultram(4 per day)...that's 9 less pills per day, 270 less pills per month and 3,240 less pills per year...which I figured he'd be fine with, considering that my liver enzymes have been elevated for over 2 years now but he said he didn't want to do that, I reminded him of the kidney issues, the liver enzyme issue, the stomach problems the meds are causing and the fact that they don't put a dent in the pain anyway, so why ruin my liver too? But, he stuck with it... I'm not sure what his thinking is on that, he didn't say but I'm not planning to stay under the medical care of this doctor, he's only been my PCP for 3 years...when I first started going to him, I was only taking 2 pills a day, now 19, and a few of those meds are to treat new problems caused by all of the other meds, I just can't see it, little did he know, I quit taking all those meds over a month ago anyway!! I'm practicing YOGA and NSD and I feel better already!!

Just as some time ago they were advocating the Bis drugs 'for' treating AS, and, as infusions as well... Then we have had radiation for treating AS - now that went on for a few years... We have *also had advocacy for giving Statins willy-nilly to all those over 50yrs of age!! I guess I just can't comprehend how this relates to additional research on any medication that might yield promising results for treating breast cancer?

It was not to do 'per se' with breast cancer. It was to do with alternative uses for drugs that are showing unacceptablew side effects!

Bisphosphonate drugs are already used extensively for cancer treatment. Fortunately patients have a choice to weigh the risk vs benefit to determine whether side effects are acceptable in their own difficult situation.
